Stephanie O'Malley Deming, Co-Founder, President – Stephanie is a software development producer, consultant and operations executive with over fifteen years of experience in worldwide award-winning educational and entertainment products for companies including Activision, Electronic Arts, LucasArts, Capcom and 2K Games. She specializes in localizations and has successfully sim-shipped hundreds of language versions of high profile titles including the Guitar Hero™ series, Rock Band™, the Call of Duty® series, the Tony Hawk™ series and many others. Stephanie founded XLOC (www.xloc.com), a company that offers web-based applications for easy localization management, and works as a production consultant for interactive game companies. Stephanie holds degrees in both Psychology and Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. |
Mason Deming, Co-Founder, Chief Technology Officer – A videogame and data management technology leader, Mason has performed key programming roles on numerous high profile videogame titles, including Zork: Nemesis, Mechwarrior: Mercenaries and Zork: The Grand Inquisitor. Mason helped to create Activision’s standard UI library, served as Chief Technology Officer for Roaring Mouse Entertainment, and developed, programmed and managed Networld Exchange’s B2B e-commerce system. This combination of game programming, database and content management experience provides Mason with the unique skills to create and implement the XLOC system, revolutionizing the process of localizing videogames. |
Carlos Garcia-Shelton, Project Manager – A nine year veteran in the videogame industry, Carlos has seen the localization process from all sides - From QA Lead at Take Two Licensing, to a Senior Localization Project Manager at Activision, and Associate Producer at Spark Unlimited. During his time at Activision and Spark Unlimited, Carlos worked with XLOC in all facets of the localization process on games including Call of Duty®: Finest Hour, X-Men Legends 2™, X3 the Movie Game™, and Call of Duty® 2. He now brings that experience and unique perspective to the XLOC team. |
| Jason Cono, Software Architect – A software architect who for the past 15 years has created scalable distributed systems from the small start-up to the Fortune 50. Jason was an integral part of designing and managing Networld Exchange's B2B e-commerce web front end and database. He took a complex vehicle ordering process for Toyota Motor Sales and created a unified web interface that increased productivity and order accuracy. Jason has also architected several web services API’s for many companies allowing them to expose their business processes securely to other business partners and clients. |
| Katherine Webb, Marketing Communications and Public Relations – Katherine helps define and present XLOC's value and unique industry expertise to clients, partners, media contacts and prospects. Katherine has over 12 years experience in marketing communications, program management and public relations. She has worked as a communications representative and strategist in interactive entertainment throughout her career. |
| Amanda Griffin, Public Relations and Partner Communications – Amanda helps drive a variety of special projects for XLOC. Amanda is responsible for ensuring the quality of various marketing efforts and conference and event participation, as well as public relations activities. Amanda has worked in video game marketing communications for over four years and has successfully launched several global products and tools. |
